If I had a pound every time students at the link referred to work as CBA I would be a rich woman!! One of the hardest tasks with the students here has been instilling a sense of self worth.. especially when they see themselves as failures. We have been very lucky in securing a number of excellent inspirational business owners to speak to the students about the importance of getting exams (cba Miss) whilst still at school. Students were interested in listening to their stories of how they 'made it' but also how difficult it was for ' doors to open' when they had no qualifications and sometimes a police record. CBA does not rule the link!

Took the link students to Calder College this week for the taster sessions. It was like watching fish out of water...... the transformation, as a result of taking them out of their comfort zone (link) was remarkable. We had polite, engaging students. The free lunch was devoured in record time and if Kai and Archie had been left alone in that room there would have been nothing left for other students!! Lots of positive remarks from the tutors about the group... their future is their hands!
